A Guide to Live Dealer Poker Online

For many years, players would sit at a table and compete against each other with a game of poker. This has changed with the introduction of live dealer poker in the gambling industry. The games are hosted by experienced dealers and played in real-time. Live dealer poker game usually comes in three variations.

Live Casino Hold’ em

The game takes all the basic rules from the traditional Hold ’em with the exception that you will be playing against the dealer. You play by placing your ante bet and an optional side bet. After this, both you and the dealer are dealt two cards, and a flop bet is placed. You can then decide to play the hand by placing a bet double the ante or fold the hand. If you choose to proceed, the turn and river cards are dealt, and the croupier’s hand revealed. Whoever has the better hand wins.

Live Caribbean Stud Poker

In this variation, both you and the dealer play with five cards. You start by placing the ante bet after which you will be dealt with five cards. The dealer draws his five cards and places one face up. Once you see the card, you can decide to fold or place a bet double the value of the ante. If you choose to place a second bet, the dealer reveals his cards and if he doesn’t have a better card, King or Ace, he losses the game to you.

Live Three Card Poker

You start by placing the ante bet after which you are dealt with three cards face up. The dealer is also dealt, but you cannot see their cards. After seeing your cards, you can choose to either play to the end or fold. If you decide to continue, you will be required to place a bet equal to the ante after which the dealer reveals his hand. Whoever has the better hand wins.
